PURE SPICES

Turmeric powder

Processing of turmeric powder has to be done after 2-3 days of harvesting. Wet turmeric has to be dried in boilers and has to be boiled at 150C for more than a week. After boiling Turmeric fingers become hard and will be sent for polishing. Dried turmeric fingers are polished in polishing drums for 3 hours to peel off their skin and yellow dried turmeric fingers are extracted for grinding. Before grinding these turmeric fingers has to be divided based upon their size and weight in dividers to maintain quality. Dried turmeric fingers are grinded and has to be packed without human involvement to protect its aroma and flavour.
