In year 1968 the company came into existence under the name ‘Gruhalakshmi Food Industries’ established by Shri B.P.Krishnamurthy. The idea of manufacturing the Masala products had been initiated in 1977 due to a food control act which was introduced by Indian government that mandated the food products has to be sold at cheaper price, when India was under emergency. This move made difficult for various brands which are already the manufacturers of Masala products to produce and supply the requirement.
1. Government of Andhra Pradesh observed that Kadapa region has major crop of turmeric and established a District farmers marketing yard. This lead to the formation of company and started selling various sizes of turmeric powder under the brand.

2. The name GruhaLakshmi Food Industries was registered on 24th October 1968 and its trademark is “TURMERIC TREE”, now the company is leading manufacturer of various types of Masala in the state Andhra Pradesh.

3. In present competitive scenario, the FMCG companies are mainly concentrating on customer awareness which is essential for growth of the company.
